multi-sensory adventures, which Gayle has always enjoyed in one form or
another
in her work. As most fine artists, she has enjoyed many diverse mediums
of
expression such as photography, watercolors and acrylics. The current
focus has
been abstract acrylic canvases, however realism still plays a role in
the final
art if you watch the brush strokes carefully. Her painting process is a
constant
study in airy uncertainties and possible dreams.
Most of her
watercolor work
over the years has been realistic in nature and some taken directly from
photographs. However, with the loose touch of the brush her art
expresses
itself beyond the click of the shutter. Gayle enjoys all of these forms
of art
expression and hopes you will come with her on an unexpected journey and
find a
new way of looking at our world through her art. Anything is possible.
Gayle and Linda Burrell also teach together adult painting classes each month called Paint Party. In addition to these classes, Gayle enjoys teaching others techniques of painting in her workshops.
Gayle
has her BA in Art & Design from University of North Alabama. She is
also President of AGES Productions, a design and advertising company in
Raleigh, NC.
