"Suzanne is an award-winning pastelist with her main subject being the beautiful Carolina landscape. She loves working on location so her work reflects the movement and subtleties of light and shadow as she captures a particular moment in time. While she travels, Suzanne often takes photographs which she uses as reference for paintings as well. In addition to pastel she also enjoys working with acrylics and sometimes combines the two mediums.  Suzanne was selected to include several works in a book published in 2008 called Painting North Carolina: Impressions en Plein Air, by Kimberlee Maselli, which includes images, quotations and information on plein air painting. Her work is also represented in numerous personal and corporate collections.  
An avid supporter of the arts, Suzanne has volunteered on the board of Visual Art Exchange in Raleigh from 1996-98 and again from 2004-2010, serving as past board chair and gala co-chair."
