Art Workshops Taught by Owner, Linda Burrell
Art Educator, Linda Burrell, (BFA,UNC-Greensboro,1980) will be teaching
these fun and educational art workshops. Each workshop will be 2 1/2 hours and all classes will focus on the fundamentals of drawing
and painting and having fun with our creativity! No talent is required! Ages 6 & up.
All materials are covered in the price of the workshop The cost of each workshop is $25 with a $10 registration fee to hold your child’s space.

Saturday, February 13th - (1:00-3:30) Students will paint a heart abstract (mixed
media) using pencil, marker, crayon and watercolor.
Saturday, March 27th - (1:00-3:30) Students will celebrate March creating an
imaginative kite painting (mixed media), using pencil, marker and watercolors.
Saturday, April 24th -(1:00-3:30) Students will draw and paint a still-life,
spring, bouquet of flowers (mixed media), using pencil, marker and watercolors.
Saturday, May 22nd- (1:00-3:30)
Students will design and make a summer t-shirt (wearable art). The theme will
be “Under the Sea”(fill in t-shirt size on registration form)
Saturday, May 29th-(1:00-3:30) - Same as above!
Summer Workshops will be announced in March.

Sunflower Studio Art Lessons (ages 6 & up) Days/Times: Tuesdays: 4:30-5:30 (ages 10-up) 5:30-6:30 (ages 6-10) Thursdays: 4:30-5:30 (ages 6-10) Home schooled children also welcomed in all age appropriate classes!
Class Description: What separates most artists from other people is their ability to see art or possibilities of art in the world around them. Beginning with the use of simple shapes, students will begin to see the world from a new perspective. Students will be learning in a fun and relaxed environment as they gain confidence in their creative abilities! This is a class for children who want to improve on their drawing and painting skills in a noncompetitive, positive environment. Talent is not a requirement for this class!
Duration/Cost: The classes will start the first week of August and end the last week of May. The cost is$ 60.00 a month. Payment is due the first class of each month. A payment box is located on the door of the teaching room. Checks should be made out to Linda Burrell or Sunflower Studio. Class Size: 10-12 students per class Teacher Credentials: Linda Burrell owns and operates Sunflower Studio in downtown Wake Forest. She has over 25 years of art teaching experience and holds a BFA in Art Education from UNC-Greensboro, 1980. Linda is also a professional watercolorist.
